What are the benefits of sending unaccompanied packages?
Packages that are shipped to Japan are usually taxable and certain fees may apply. Unaccompanied packages, however, are exempt from taxes and the import clearance procedures are easier compared to normal packages. Taxes may apply for packages that are deemed new (food products, cosmetics, and goods that have been purchased within the last 6 months).

Can I send pets to Japan?
There are two ways of transporting pets to Japan: as a carryon luggage or as cargo luggage. It is probably less stressful for your pet if you carry him/her with you on the airplane. The size and structure of the pet's cage, however, is subject to an airline's specific limitations. It is advised that you contact the airlines ahead of time to find out what these limitations are.

What do I need to do to send pets to Japan?
You will need to prepare the necessary forms provided by the proper medical institutions and government agencies of the U.S. You will not be able to transport your pets without the proper documents. Dogs and cats will need to be moored in the airport of the country of destination for at least 14 days. Please contact us for further details.

Can automobiles purchased in the U.S. be sent to Japan?
Usually, agents specializing in automobiles will handle all transactions (picking up the automobile, making the proper arrangements for shipment, customs clearance, automobile safety inspections, motor vehicle registration, recreation and remodeling) required to send the car over to Japan for a fair price. We recommend Pireps Auto Shipping Inc., who we have worked with for many years.
